I had a fantastic time in Mystic! Amazingly, we read all of Moby-Dick in just over twenty-four hours. Spending the night on a whale ship was also fun — even in a thunder storm. I played a set from Callmeishmael.org immediately following the reading, as part of a festival called “Sea Stories Weekend.” I met a lot of awesome people, and heard a lot of good music, stories, and poetry — all in all, a great weekend!
The Morgan, morning after the reading.

Me, groggy, reading some late chapter of the book.
Performing at Sea Stories Weekend. A terrific songwriter named Jon Campbell at the soundboard.
