We get to play a show at Melville’s house this summer!

Herman Melville wrote Moby-Dick at his home, called Arrowhead, in Pittsfield, MA. This August, the city of Pittsfield will host Call Me Melville, a week-long festival celebrating Melville and all his works, in conjunction with their WordXWord festival, a celebration of the written and spoken word.

We have been invited to play three dates during these festivals: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; August, 16, 17, and 18. Each of these shows is in a different setting, and each will be really fun in a different way. If you live in the area, come see us play! If you don’t live in the area, tell someone who does live in the area to come see us play, or take a trip to the Berkshires for a long weekend!

Here are the details of each show:

Thursday, August 16 at 6:00 PM: we play at an outdoor street festival in Pittsfield called 3rd Thursdays

Friday, August 17 at 5:30 PM: we play at the Lichtenstein, for the opening of a juried art show called “Melville Contemporary”

Saturday, August 18 at 2:00 PM: we play at Arrowhead, Melville’s home where he wrote Moby-Dick

If you want a more detailed description (i.e.; an address, cross streets, etc.) of where we’ll play each show, email me and I’ll keep you updated.

We’re really excited for these shows. Hope to see you there!

Best,
Patrick, Maxx, Jen, and Max
